Jeff Buckley

Sep 25, 2007

Jeff Buckley emerged in New York City in the 1990’s as one of the most remarkable musical artists of his generation, acclaimed by audiences, critics, and fellow musicians alike.
As part of the ongoing tribute concerts and events benefitting musicians, the estate of Jeff Buckley approached PUSH to design a line of clothing and accessories inspired by his music.
We wanted to make something authentic for the large following of fans that have been deprived of his spirit and creativity since he died in a tragic drowning accident in Memphis on May 29, 1997. We interpreted several classic photos and took inspiration from some of his own sketches and hand-written lyrics to his songs like “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” which wrap around the sides and shoulders of the shirts much like they do in his old notes and sketchbooks.
